Loozap works when people share honest ideas and argue about them in good faith. Strong opinions and disagreement are welcome. These rules apply everywhere on Loozap: posts, comments, Articles, Collections, Groups, Events, chat, profiles and usernames. Group admins may add stricter rules for their own Group.
Breaking these rules can lead to content being removed, features being limited or an account being suspended. See How we enforce these rules.
1. Be respectful
Challenge the idea, not the person. Do not post:
- Harassment: repeatedly targeting, insulting or intimidating another member, including through replies, mentions or messages.
- Threats: anything that threatens or encourages harm to a person.
- Hate: content that attacks people for who they are, including their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Personal attacks on authors: in comments, criticize the analysis rather than the author's background or track record.
You don't have to engage with people who bother you. Use Block and Report instead of arguing back.
2. Keep it honest
The value of Loozap depends on members being honest. Do not:
- Manipulate markets. Do not organize or join a "pump and dump", signal group or other coordinated effort to move a price. Do not spread rumors you know or suspect are false. In many countries these are crimes, including under the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
- Hide your interest. If you hold a position, are paid, or will profit from what you are promoting, say so. Articles have a disclosure field: fill it in honestly.
- Promise returns. No "guaranteed profit", "risk-free trade" or "can't lose" claims.
- Present speculation as fact. Speculation is part of investing. Make it clear when something is your guess, and link your sources when you state facts.
- Impersonate anyone, including a company, its executives, a public figure, a journalist or another member. Only Pages we have checked may call themselves a company's official Page.
- Use more than one account to boost your own posts, sway sentiment, vote on your own content or get around a suspension.
3. Use cashtags and sentiment tags properly
- Tag only what you are actually discussing. A cashtag puts your post on that instrument's Feed. Don't add popular cashtags to reach more people, and don't put cashtags on side conversations. Use a reply or mention instead.
- Use the right symbol. If a symbol exists on more than one exchange, use the venue-qualified form (for example
$XTSE:SHOP) so your post reaches the right audience. - Use
#Bullishand#Bearishonly for your real view of the instrument you tagged. These tags feed each instrument's Sentiment. Gaming them with multiple accounts or coordinated tagging is market manipulation under rule 2. - Keep your Article stance consistent with your argument. Don't mark a bearish Article as bullish to appear in a different Ratings view.
- Keep political posts off instrument feeds. Political news that affects an investment is fine to discuss in terms of its investment impact. Posts that are only about politics should not carry a cashtag.
4. No spam or undisclosed promotion
- Do not post the same or nearly the same message over and over.
- Do not send unsolicited promotional messages to members.
- Do not use likes, follows, comments or follow-for-follow schemes to inflate your reach.
- Promote with restraint. Posts promoting your own paid product, subscription, newsletter or outside community should be no more than 1 in 10 of your posts, and each one should still contain something genuinely useful.
- Label paid promotion. If you are paid, or receive anything of value, to post about a company, product or instrument, say so clearly in the post (for example "Sponsored" or "#ad"). In some countries, including France, promoting financial products or crypto-assets for payment is restricted or banned. You must follow the law where you and your audience are.
- No fundraising or requests for money outside Loozap's own creator subscription features.
5. Respect other people's work and privacy
- Post original work, or quote briefly with attribution and a link. Don't copy other people's articles, research or paywalled content.
- Link to the actual article, not a homepage, and credit the author.
- No doxxing: never share someone's personal information (address, phone number, employer, private messages) without their consent.
- No non-public information: do not share confidential company information you obtained through your job or from an insider.
6. Keep it appropriate
- No nudity, sexual content or graphic violence.
- No illegal content, and no instructions or offers for illegal activity, including unlicensed investment services, scams and phishing.
- No malware or deceptive links.
- Keep usernames, profile photos and Page names free of vulgarity, and don't make them misleading.
7. Automated accounts
Bots are welcome when they add value, for example by posting filings, economic data or news headlines. They must be clearly labelled as automated in the profile, run at a reasonable pace, and never be used to flood popular instrument feeds, influence Sentiment or promote at scale. Contact us before running a bot on Loozap.
8. Groups, Pages and Collections
- Group admins are responsible for moderating their Group and may only link it to instruments the Group really discusses.
- Pages must represent who they say they are. A company Page can apply to be linked as an instrument's official Page. Only verified Pages receive the Official badge.
- Collections must not have misleading names or descriptions (for example "Guaranteed 10-baggers").
How we enforce these rules
Our moderation team reviews reports and may also find problems itself. Depending on how serious the problem is and your history, we may:
- remove or hide content, or remove it from instrument feeds and Sentiment only;
- remove cashtags from a post;
- limit features, such as posting, messaging, tagging or creating Collections;
- place new or previously suspended accounts under review before their posts appear;
- suspend or permanently close an account and any duplicate accounts.
When we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law or a safety risk prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, you can ask us to look again by opening a ticket in the Support Center within 6 months. A different moderator will review it.
Reporting
Use the Report option on any post, comment, profile, Page, Group or Collection. Please don't argue with the person. Report them and let us handle it.
To report illegal content (for example defamation, fraud, copyright infringement or market abuse), use the Contact Us form or email contact@loozap.com and include:
- the exact link(s) to the content;
- why you believe it is illegal;
- your name and email address (not required for reports of child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.
We will confirm receipt, act on it promptly and tell you what we decided.
