Loozap brings together member opinions, independent research, company communications and third-party news. This policy explains who is responsible for each, the standards we apply, and exactly how Ratings and Sentiment are calculated, so you can decide how much weight to give what you read.

Standards for research Articles
An Article is a structured argument, not a hot take. Loozap's Article form asks for:
- Question: what the Article sets out to answer.
- Thesis: your answer, in a few sentences.
- Time horizon: the period your thesis applies to.
- Counterargument: the strongest case against your view. We ask for this so readers can see the opposing case too.
- Stance: very bearish, bearish, neutral, bullish or very bullish.
- Disclosure: whether you hold a position or have any other interest in the instrument.
- Language: the language the Article was written in.
We also expect authors to:
- clearly separate facts, with sources, from opinions and estimates;
- publish original work, and quote others only briefly with credit;
- avoid sensational language, guaranteed-return claims and price targets without reasoning;
- never use non-public information;
- correct mistakes openly. When you edit a published Article, Loozap uses the current version for Ratings.
For authors in the EU: if your Article recommends or suggests an investment strategy, EU market abuse rules may require you to present it objectively and disclose your conflicts of interest. The Article fields above are designed to help you do that, but you remain responsible for complying.
Articles that repeatedly fall far below these standards may be removed from instrument Research tabs and Ratings, even if they stay on the author's profile.
Authors decide their own stance
The stance on an Article is set by its author. Loozap staff never change an author's stance, argument or conclusion. We may remove an Article that breaks our Community Rules, but we do not edit it to change what it says.
How Ratings are calculated
- Each author's latest stance on an instrument, taken from the current version of their Articles and set or updated in the last 90 days.
- One stance per author or Page. Writing more Articles doesn't give an author more weight.
- Only public, free Articles count. Articles in Groups or Events, paid Articles, subscriber-only Articles and hidden Articles are left out.
How Sentiment is calculated
- Based on public posts that mention the instrument's cashtag and carry
#Bullishor#Bearish. - Two windows: the last 7 days and the last 30 days.
- One vote per author per window. Posting the same view many times doesn't count more.
- The bullish percentage is shown only once at least 5 different authors have tagged posts in that window. Below that, we show "Not enough views" and how many more authors are needed.
- Posts in Groups or Events, anonymous posts, hidden posts and posts by banned accounts are not counted. Sample and test accounts are excluded.
How Trending and watcher counts work
- Trending ranks instruments in your chosen market by the number of public posts about them in the last 7 days, then alphabetically. It is not a performance ranking, and nobody can pay to appear in it.
- Watcher counts show how many real members watch an instrument. Sample and test accounts are excluded.
News curation
- Permitted sources only. We show headlines and summaries only from publishers that allow it, and always link to the original article.
- Clear labels. Every item says what it is: Independent news, Company release (written by the company) or Regulatory filing. It also names the original publisher.
- Honest timestamps. We show when the original was published. If we don't know, we say so rather than guess.
- Short summaries. Summaries describe the article in our own words. They are not a substitute for reading it.
- Balance. We aim to show relevant news whether it is good or bad for an instrument.
Independence
No company, advertiser, creator or data provider can pay for or influence coverage, labels, placement in Trending or Loozap Collections, Ratings or Sentiment. Official company Pages have no effect on Ratings or Sentiment. See our Disclosures for how Loozap makes money.
AI-assisted content
Authors may use AI tools, including Loozap's AI assistant, but they remain fully responsible for what they publish. They must check every fact and figure, and must say so in the Article if a substantial part was generated by AI. Loozap does not publish AI-generated news summaries without a person reviewing them.
Corrections and complaints
If you spot an error in a news item, label or Loozap Collection, tell us through the Contact Us form. We will fix confirmed errors promptly and keep a record of the change and the reason for it. For errors in a member's Article, reply to the author or use Report if the Article breaks our rules.
